Lachlan Hughson, founder of 4-D Resources Advisory LLC, has over 30 years of experience in corporate finance, M&A and capital markets across the oil/gas, renewables and mining/metals industries, as an investment banker and corporate finance executive. His multifaceted commercial experience reflects the $30+ billion of M&A and $15+ billion of capital raising transactions undertaken as both an agent and principal.

Lachlan founded 4-D Resources Advisory LLC to help investors, executives and Boards build better energy and mining companies using a probabilistic approach to the finance function. With management often making sub-optimal decisions based on limited output from static financial models, the finance function can now be upgraded to best-in-class using a dynamic approach. Which will also help to further protect the environment through making better investment choices given society’s increasing demand for energy and metals.

He has a Master of Business degree from the University of Technology Sydney, a Master of Business Administration degree from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, and a Master of Science degree, with Distinction, from the Royal School of Mines at Imperial College London.

He is also a published, award-winning Nature writer – his book, Walkabout to Wisdom; Awakening to Nature’s Teaching in the Australian Outback, an Amazon best-seller in 2019 – and an equine-focused philanthropist.
